Our collaboration with the National Museum of World Cultures in the Netherlands was a remarkable project that showcased the beauty and intricacy of Moroccan craftsmanship. Working alongside the museum’s architect and project leader, Mrs. Liesbet Ruben, we embarked on creating a detailed model of the old Medina of Fez. This involved a meticulous process of crafting new items with the finest artisans and sourcing authentic vintage pieces to ensure historical accuracy and aesthetic beauty.

The project required significant logistical coordination, as all components were carefully crafted, assembled into boxed panels, and shipped in two large containers. The intricate designs and high-quality craftsmanship of the items highlighted the skill and dedication of Moroccan artisans. Upon arrival in the Netherlands, the museum’s team skillfully assembled the model, bringing the historic Medina to life within the museum’s walls. This collaborative effort not only showcased the artisans’ talents but also emphasized the importance of cultural preservation and global appreciation.

The success of this project is a testament to our commitment to quality, precision, and cultural heritage. It exemplifies how traditional Moroccan craftsmanship can be integrated into modern museum displays, providing educational and aesthetic value. This partnership not only enhanced the museum’s collection but also provided Moroccan artisans with a prestigious platform to display their work to an international audience. The Medina model stands as a symbol of cultural exchange and the enduring beauty of Moroccan art.
